There are times when bigger is indeed better. Start with the view. A great big, far reaching, all encompassing, sunrise to sunset drink it all in baby looker of a view. Outside you can take it in from the main patio surrounded by gardens and next to the patio pond. Or from the upper patio, if you wanted a little privacy. Or wander down the path to the landing, sit and contemplate. Or down to the gazebo. On the way to the poolhouse you could stop by the solar array (you are your own power company afterall) before diving in. Visit the guests in the pool house, where they luxuriate by the fire. After a cookout it's back up to the main house.
Stop by the separate apartment above the garage. Appointed as nicely as the house with it's own kitchen, in case the guests require a slightly longer stay. In through the mudroom (first floor laundry... ahhhh). An office or a den with windows framing the view and a very nice porch to keep you distracted. The first floor master suite comes next, with a HUGE closet and an even BIGGER view. Through a hall office, with a small bath tucked in - a plaster tree from a local artist grows wild - into the living room. A field stone fireplace on one side, the view on the other. Stop by the kitchen - gourmetly applianced - grab some coffee and head out to the screened porch. You may be in heaven.
Downstairs there are two more bedrooms and a den with a fireplace of it's own and doors that open to the patio.
